This is an ideal way to see the island. Always remember to carry your driving licence, hire agreement and passport. Wear a seat belt at all times. Always give way to traffic coming from the right. Traffic police are very strict and can demand on the spot fines. In the event of an accident never admit liability or part with any documents or money. Co-operate with the police and contact the car hire company. Petrol stations are open from 08:00 - 22:00. A few do open 24hrs. The easiest way is to show the attendant how much you wish to spend.
